Every year, Walking Month starts with a simple question: where are we needed most, right now?
In 2026, the answer takes us to rural communities in Cluj County, where access to complementary education is often limited, and important life decisions are frequently made without enough information or support.
Walking Month 2026 is about turning community involvement into something that truly matters for children who need more than what a classroom alone can offer.
Move for education
With every Walking Month 2026 registration, we support Educalisean NGO whose work focuses on three main areas: education, healthcare, and social support for children and families in need.
Educalise goes straight to where help is needed most: rural communities across Cluj County.
Together, we aim to reduce the barriers created by distance and lack of resources, bringing non-formal education closer to young people. This means practical, hands-on learning that helps them better navigate everyday challenges, now and in the long term.
Every registration has a real impact
Your participation turns into tangible results:
- 500 students gaining access to new educational resources
- 250 hours of practical workshops and mentoring
- 5 rural communities in Cluj County actively involved
- 6 types of workshops, tailored to the real needs of young people
What do children learn in Educalise workshops?
The programme complements the school curriculum with practical tools that are relevant in everyday life. The workshops cover six essential areas:
- Health education – building healthy habits and self-care
- Basic legal education – understanding rights, responsibilities and informed decision-making
- Financial education – money management and basic planning skills
- Non-formal education – learning through play, collaboration and hands-on experiences
- Sex education – accurate information about personal development
- Social and emotional development – self-confidence, empathy and effective communication
The goal of these workshops is to create a safe and open environment for questions, dialogue and meaningful learning.
Why does showing up matter?
In rural areas, distances are not just geographical. They can turn into gaps in access to information, support and opportunities.
Through Walking Month, we support Educalise’s constant presence on the ground and turn our participation into concrete help: mentoring, guidance and practical tools that empower young people to build a more informed and confident path forward.
Ready to move for education?
As every year, the success of Walking Month 2026 depends on our community, on our steps, our involvement and the choices we make every day.
